In one sentence: earBeacon collects no data about you, has no account, and contains no code capable of sending anything to the internet.

What the app stores
Everything listed below stays exclusively on your phone. It never leaves the device, is never uploaded to any server and is never shared with anyone.

Location
The app requests location access While Using the App. A location is recorded when a hearing aid disconnects and during a search.
This is not the location of the hearing aid — that cannot be determined technically. It is the location of your phone at the moment of the last connection, in other words the place where you last had the hearing aid with you.
You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings. The app keeps working, simply without recording the last place.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth is used to measure the signal strength of your hearing aids, from which the distance estimate is derived. The app connects to the hearing aids but never changes their settings and does not interfere with their operation.
What the app does not do
- No user account, no sign-up
- No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party SDKs
- No advertising
- No networking code whatsoever — it has no technical means of sending anything
- No tracking across apps or websites
- No tracking of other people's devices — only the ones you select yourself
Health data
The app does not handle health data. It reads no health information from the hearing aids, does not access the Health app, and makes no medical claims.
Your rights
Because none of your data is processed outside your own device, there is nothing on our side to disclose, correct or delete. You remove all app data by uninstalling the app, or by running the initial setup again from within it.

Children
The app is not directed at children and knowingly collects no data from them. It collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, a new version will be published at this address with an updated effective date. Material changes will be announced in the app.
